This cycling trip will take us through four stages. Starting in Ponferrada and finishing in Santiago de Compostela, where we'll obtain the 'Compostelana', certification for cyclists who ride a minimum of 200 km of the Way.
This beautiful ride will take us to Santiago de Compostela through tarmac roads, semi-rough terrain and dusty paths with medieval origins. Along the way we'll pass buildings and monuments that date back to medieval and templar times.
The O'Cebreiro climb will be waiting for us before we get to Galicia. This is a pleasing secondary tarmac road, it will lead us to the summit where we will enjoy the magnificent views before going downhill.
As we approach our destination, trails start to grow smaller due to vegetation. Narrow trails and agricultural fields will string along the end of this pilgrimage to St. James Way.
Overnight stays will take place at:
1st stage : Vega de Valcarcel Km. 43
2nd stage: Sarria Km. 96
3rd stage: Melide Km. 155
4th stage: Santiago Compostela Km. 215
At the end of each stage of this Gravel route, you will receive a personalized SPIN Report.
The organization reserves the right to modify some sections of the route and/or the accommodations if necessary. Our clients will be notified of any changes immediately.
